Last weekend, he agreed to monitor noise levels for several hours near Huntington Dog Beach, an area about a mile north of Huntington Beach Pier where small businesses thrive, residents live their lives and humans walk furry creatures on four legs. Mario Tabernig is a retired mechanical engineer who measured sound levels inside the cabins of the massive cranes at the Port of Long Beach.
